Create a frame at the top with the straps at the height of the building walls, plus an elevation, minus the width of the ridge. Attach these supports to the center line of the building. Place a ridge board facing down on the support frames. Align the upper plumb cut with the ridge and align the healing cut in the bird's mouth with the inside of the wall.
